it has 3 steps:-

1. Acquiring software: Two ways aquire software are purchasing off-the-self packaged software and designing custom programs.
2. Aquiring hardware: It involves consideration for future company growth,existing networks, comunication capabilities and training.
3. Test the new system: Using sample data, the new system is tested. this step can take several month for a complex system.
